Tuesday
This was an all-around workday for our family—Jonathan working on Ancient Greece and Rome (copyediting), Manny studying the U.S. cold war, and the girls being tutored by their mother. Their first day at the local school was a nonstarter: the “authorities” need to be consulted, so they will return on Thursday with some necessary documents (health records, our permission to “home school,” etc.) all of which we brought with us.
It wasn’t all work and no play, however, as the following photos attest.
Among other fun on the beach, Jonathan swam with his daughters—on his 49th year and 364th day of life!
The video clip, which we neglected to add yesterday, was from the panagyri in Methoni. The girls got the spirit (kefi) on the beach!
